Revision

Revision

Soon I will have much more free time to start photographing for my own personal interest, and I'm very excited to finally be able to do so. Last year I didn't know what I was getting myself into with my job, school, and club responsibilities, but now that I see just how much I could achieve in one year, I hunger for more, and for something different.

While my past year's decisions was based on "I don't do enough, I need to push myself, I need a strong resume for business", I finally understand why I didn't succeed as well as I would've wanted to. Business was just not the passion that'd get me through life happy, and with a huge chunk of my life so dry and uninteresting to me, it probably affected my motivation for everything else.

I wouldn't have wanted to come to this conclusion 3 years into my program, but it took strenuous internship applications before I realized that I would NEVER want to work 40hr weeks in a suit. And while it's might've been a waste of money and time, university was never suppose to just give anyone a piece of paper (although it helps with life), it was suppose to give people 3-5 years of an experience. 3 year of getting to make my own decisions and everything finally hit me.

So this is the revision of myself. I've stopped applying for internship applications 3-4 weeks ago, my club responsibilities are almost completely over, school is over in 2 months and I've established hopeful (and attainable) goals for the next 5 years.

And with my recent shift back to photography, I've decided to make initial steps in making it official.

1) I've returned to Flickr and de-cluttered my photostream. (removed over 80-90 photos), probably going to remove more
2) I've begun saving up for new camera equipment, tried/began selling my old equipment
3) I've returned to multiple photography news/technology websites

and lastly,

4) Planned for something else to open up soon.

Can't wait, so excited.
